WHY CHOOSE WRIGHT WAY
Our Mission
Here at Wright Way, our mission is committed to growing the sport of wrestling by mentally and physically evolving athletes into a champion mindset. But we are more than wrestling—we aim to give underprivileged youth opportunities and allow individuals to gain life skills and coping mechanisms from the sport. We give post-graduate athletes, veterans, and coaches a place to get back into the sport, whether it is for recreational, therapeutic, or health purposes. We are committed to developing partnerships with those whose mission closely aligns with ours to better serve a wide variety of individuals.
Behavior Modification
Getting young kids to pay attention can feel like an impossible task. The structure of our wrestling classes shows kids the importance of focus and teaches them by having them apply it to easily achievable tasks.
The focus they learn in the dojo is something they’ll take home – and into the classroom. Kids who participate in wrestling often translate into good students as well.
Discipline is being able to force yourself to do something, in spite of how you feel, over and over until it becomes a habit
— Kim Brenneman
If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it—then I can achieve it
— Muhammad Ali
Building A Champion Mindset
“The Wright Way” mindset requires students to work hard, focus, and pursue goals to earn spots in sessions like Advanced and Masters. Working out with us helps them learn the power of persistence and teaches them to focus on the process as well as the results.
Confidence and strength
Young children who learn wrestling find out quickly that each movement must be intentional. They learn to control their movements to the best of their ability. They gain crucial skills, such as problem-solving and how to adapt, that can be carried over to their day-to-day lives and give them the confidence to make better choices.
They also practice hand-eye coordination and learn about their bodies. That means they’ll be less likely to be unintentionally destructive and they will be more mindful of their surroundings.
A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval
